Forgiveness and Compassion

Forgiveness is vital to bring closure to all issues past and present.  This helps you to move on by further releasing you from the people who have harmed you or you them.

I know many will find this part difficult to do especially when there has been betrayal and the issue has been long-standing and repeated over and over.  Physical or mental abuse the pain is so deep and it is hard to let go and it may take you a few attempts to bring closure to this kind of issue.

Forgiving yourself at least will release you from part of the situation, forgiving yourself even though you are the innocent party to all the harm been done to you.

To forgive those who have harmed you be that verbally or physically releases you and them from the situation.  You are free to move on but the abuser still has to face their retribution for the damage they have caused you.  There is no escape from that.

Many religions make you believe that both will be able to move on freely and this is incorrect for serious offences.

Below is a sample of a Forgiveness Prayer you may prefer to change it to reflect the way you feel and think.

O Light of All Lights, I NOW ask you to forgive me as I forgive those who have harmed me.  I forgive myself for knowingly or unknowingly hurting others I NOW look upon myself with compassion for the mistakes I have made.

I NOW forgive all those who have harmed me whether they are known or unknown to me.  I NOW look upon them with compassion for the mistakes they have made.

I AM NOW grateful for your forgiveness and this is done forever in The Divine Manifestor’s Name.

I NOW draw the Light of All Light in and around me and my home filling us and cleansing every atom of us.

I AM NOW shielded and protected with the Light of All Lights.
