A New Year Approaches

End of Old Start of New

Have you noticed like my friends and I the days are just flying by to end the year.

Time is manmade, therefore the calendar is also manmade.

Everyone is pushing like mad to get to the end of this year believing next year is going to be better just like that overnight. This happens every year.

What is the truth of the surge the push to finish the year? It is an annual mind set.

Unless you look to yourself to bring changes i.e. change yourself from within and close off your old issues tomorrow and next year will be the same as you carry your excess baggage from one year to the next.

It is people in the year end mind set who are making the days fly. Those of us at the senior years of our life would like it to go a little slower.

Slow down take a look at yourself. Do the work you need to make amends in your life to enable you to go forward not the whole world. Slowly as we all take charge of ourselves the world will go forward to better times. Everyone has to make an effort as the manmade calendar has no power to change life on Earth or anywhere.

Remember you are loved

Absolutely well said!! I love how you call it annual mindset. Slowing down truly can slow the pace of time itself and help us change the trajectory of life, personally and collectively. Rushing into the next hardly ever gives us anything.

Yes, of course, I too have noticed this, and as always, your suggestions are wise. We have an expression in Spanish which is a different way of saying what you are saying, and I love it too, for its wisdom “La calentura no está en las sábanas” The Fever is Not In The Sheets. We can change bedding and beds, change years, but we must heal ourselves too from the inside out. Bless you Nanette! 🙏❤️
