I love the alliteration and the interplay of the “Big Idea” Words: Competence, Compromise, Create. This provides a wealth of further mediation. When we compromise with others, are we often more competent in ourselves (love, kindness, understanding, empathy) but when we compromise ourselves (integrity, truth, honor etc.) are we less competent, especially in the “long haul”, the long arc of a life? And then — are we truly most competent as a human being, no matter our supposed skill level, when we are creating, creative, being created anew? Thank you for this post — deceptive in brevity with a wealth of intriguing deep thought. Joy to you in the journey today, Jane
