As soon as I saw my friend’s photograph I was inspired thoughts for a contemplation were starting to flow to me. I have enhanced the photograph with healing and my special prayers.
This beautiful photograph is showing much symbolism and will help you identify yourself within the ALL or Universal Consciousness.
As you gaze upon the small island in the sea make this your reality, it is you. You are the Island a small one in the way of life.
The island is solitary as you are, it is strong, solid and the foundations are deep they go to the depths of the Earth’s crust. Allow yourself to be grounded strongly in the Earth as you are this island.
You feel you are isolated, look again at the photo what do you see.
You are surrounded with water, the sea is flowing around you, notice there is no break or barriers the sea surrounds you. The water is symbolic of Divine Love which you can drink freely.
You can drink from the Divine Love the wisdom which is always available to you. You are not excluded you are part of the ALL.
Now look again at the photo. The sea/Divine Love is connecting you to others in your life or your soul group. Divine Love is holding you in place with the others who through Divine Love reach you. You are no longer isolated but part of the ALL.
The Divine Love or sea is cleansing you, bathing you and healing your physical and spiritual being making you more solid, resilient to any adverse situation which you have encountered.
The sea laps and flows over the Island which is you rebirthing and regenerating you into your environment and life. You now feel refreshed and cleansed. You belong, grounded and are a greater part of the ALL.

Well “puzzled” out. It was quite apt coming after my reading this morning from “Hidden Wholeness” and Parker Palmer’s idea of carving out “spaces” in both solitude and community — spaces that somehow connect but allow for self-truth. The mystery of the picture led you to the mysteries in the ideas. Thank you, great essences to meditate on.

As it happens, John Donne is one of my favorite poets. You may recall that, when he was young, Donne focused on lyrical love poems. In his later years, he wrote powerful sermons. The quote w/ which we’re all familiar is from one of those. It was written during a time of plague.
“No man is an Island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the maine; if a Clod be washed away by the Sea, Europe is the lessee, as well as if a Promontorie were, as well as if a Manner of thy friends or of thine owne were; any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in Mankind; And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; It tolls for thee.”
