Making or Bringing Changes

I could not believe it at first when these professional workers came onto my property that they would bring peace with them.  All the noise generated by the excavator or digger went unnoticed by me as the peacefulness took over.

There were also two men digging a new septic tank as you can see the ground is too hard and eventually the excavator had to finish the work as the solid rock ground was too difficult for the two workmen.  They were a pleasure to have on my property they worked from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm 6 days a week.

All the workers came from Aswan not the village.  As the village people are lazy and quality of work is poor.  The men were very respectful, hard-working and clean.

Drive way level

My new access to my property at last I can have vehicles drive up to my home.

Great vehicles can drive up to my home…… well they could until my evil neighbours dug up my driveway in the night and the delivery truck could not deposit the sand and cement on the drive.  The two men here are amazing first class workers just got on with the job.  Before they went home they repaired the driveway so vehicles could once again drive up.  They also spent 5 hours the night before repairing the handy work of the creatures had done on other parts of the road I had created.

The ground is very soft being sand and the custom here is to water the sand to turn it into a hard surface.  Seems strange but it actually works.

Septic Tank is under construction, the base is thick cement layer to stop it leaking.  I know what you are thinking.  What did Nanette use before this.  I have another septic tank it was not built properly and it leaked as it had not been sealed properly hence the new tank.

Securing my property the gap in the wall has been closed to stop wandering dogs and creatures (my neighbours) entering. The walls will be built much higher even this has
made me feel more comfortable.

The workmen are bring so much goodness into my home they help to increase the energy of the property, (for those who understand energy) They work all day unsupervised which is not common, generally Egyptians have to be watch every minute or they do not work.  I constantly praise them for their efforts and quality of work at first they looked at me as if I was a little strange, but then they realised I was genuinely happy with their work.  I believe it is important to show appreciation for the effort being made.

My beloved precious was fascinated with the excavator/digger incredible as soon as the engine started Miss T had to be on the balcony looking and would ask me to go stand with her whilst she watched.  Miss T was somewhat miffed when they had finished their work and the next machine, a bulldozer had no appeal at all.  Miss T has to check the workmen every morning from the balcony to ensure they meet with her approval.  We only had one who did not a local boy and she went mad as soon as she could feel his energy approaching.  His energy made her vomit. Just have to love cats and their innate abilities to read the environment.  I insisted the boy did not work here.  Must look after those who look after us.

The work has been occupying my time and also the stress of the creatures’ behaviour (my neighbours).

Nothing beats having good people around in your life it is so uplifting.

Simply be you, live your life simply.

I agree with you, it is so important to show gratitude for people’s work. In Arabic there is an expression, “Give the worker his wages before his sweat dries.” That is another way to show true appreciation:) Thanks for sharing your story.
