The Swing – Day 2 of 3 Day Quote Challenge

I am very honoured to be chosen by  Themoonlightreverie to be invited to join in the 3 day quote challenge.  I find The Moonlight Reverie to be very soulful in her thoughts do take time to read her work.  The researching for quotes or poems has taken me back to my childhood.  I enjoyed reading poetry more than fictional books.

Rules:

  • Thank the person who nominated you.
  • Post a quote for three consecutive days (1 quote for each day).
  • Share why this quote appeals so much to you.
  • Nominate 3 different bloggers for each day.

The Swing1

The Swing 2

The Swing 3

This poem is by Robert Louis Stevenson, renowned for his children’s literature, he was very much in touch with a child’s thinking.  I came across the poem of The Swing it took me straight to my place of emotional and mental freedom. Playing on a Swing seemed to take me into an alternate plane or universe.  I became one with the air as it gently flowed across my face and hair. I drifted into my personal Dreamtime.  I still sigh when I see swings it brings a longing for escapism. I have on my bucket list a garden chair swing and for sure I will always be there.

I invite the following bloggers to participate in the challenge, hoping that they would join in, so together we can spread words full of hope, inspiration and love !
